Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of continuous employment.

For maintenance positions, potential candidates must also have three or more years of experience as an Electrician in an industrial setting.

Security Guard Training

DCMO BOCES offers Pre-Employment Security Guard Training. 

This is a great training for a person seeking entry level employment as a Security Guard. 

This course provides an introduction to the Security Guard Act of 1992, the role of a Security Guard, legal powers and limitations, emergency situations, communications and public relations, access control, ethics and conduct, and course review. An examination will be given. When you successfully complete this 8-hour course and pass the exam you will receive an official course completion certificate. 

CLASS COST - $60.00
