You may be eligible for training assistance.

Visit or contact the your nearest One-stop Career Center to learn if you are eligible for training assistance provided through the Career Center or about other potential resources which may help you with your career related educational and training needs. 

New York State Workforce Training Provider List: The New York State Eligible Training Provider List (NYS-ETPL) was established in compliance with Title 1 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. The purpose of the ETPL is to present a broad and diverse selection of training choices to support employment goals of individuals.

Demand Occupation List:  The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 requires that certain training programs lead to employment in demand occupations. These demand occupations are determined by the Local Workforce Investment Board and are presented here.

Bridge to Employment Marketplace (BEAM): If you are 19 years of age or older and live within Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Broome, Tioga or Tompkins Counties and you want to return to college -  you may be eligible for the BEAM program. The BEAM program can help you navigate the admissions and financial aid process.

You may be eligible for Student Aid from the U.S. Department of Education or the New York State Higher Education Services program.

College Scholarship Program for Child Care Workers: The NYS Child Welfare Worker Incentive Scholarship Program grants awards for child welfare workers employed at voluntary not-for-profit child welfare agencies licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Recipients must agree to live in NYS and work at a voluntary not-for-profit child welfare agency licensed by OCFS for 5 years after graduation, and can use the award to get an associate’s, bachelor’s or graduate degree.
