Summer Jobs

A summer job is the first, best tool to learn how to develop job and career skills. CDO Workforce Career System will help you look for a summer job, and we sometimes offer a Summer Employment Program to find quality jobs.

In addition to a paycheck, you’ll learn:

  • How to work in a team.
  • The basics of presenting yourself in a professional manner – whatever your profession.
  • How to apply whatever skills and knowledge you have to real-world situations.
  • The elementals -- showing up on time, following orders (and maybe giving them).

CDO Workforce Career System applies annually for grants to create summer job programs for young people. Some have income or other eligibility requirements. Some don’t. But contact us to see if we can help you.

2021 Delaware County Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

Are you between the ages of 14 and 20 and looking for a summer job?

Primary funding is based on income eligibility, however there are also job opportunities within the program for non-income eligible youth.
