Manufacturing Day is an opportunity for manufacturers to show their communities what they do, highlight the economic importance of manufacturing, and draw attention to rewarding manufacturing careers. 

To celebrate Manufacturing Day MVCC in Utica, NY, will be hosting an event on Friday, October 18th, from 8:30am to 2:00pm. 

This event is FREE, open to the public, and will feature:

Presenter: Janine Kruiswijk, Executive Director of the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region

The Seminar will cover what the Autism Spectrum is, how it may present in the workplace, onboarding and retention best practices, review of possible accommodations, and addressing stigma and false assumptions about Autism.

Janine Kruiswijk has been the executive director of the Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region since 2009. She previously served as the executive director of the Family Resource Network of Oneonta, New York. She has many years of experience supporting children, youth and adults with exceptional needs, providing community leadership, and promoting policy changes on behalf of families and individuals. Janine has her BS in Sociology from The College of New Rochelle. She is the parent of four children, one of them with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
