"The ABLE National Resource Center (ABLE NRC) continues to provide consistent, reliable information concerning the benefits of an ABLE account. This webinar celebrates October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month and will:

  • provide a range of strategies to save and fund an ABLE account as a complement to other strategies to improve health, independence, quality of life and increase employment outcomes.
  • review the basic rules for funding an ABLE account from contributions and earned income. In addition, information about ease of access to savings and investments to address COVID-19 expenses will be shared.
  • share best practices on integrating ABLE accounts into employment services for customers with disabilities.
  • cover how ABLE savings helps people to begin and maintain employment and engage in career development to maximize their earnings, use of work supports and savings potential, including savings for retirement."
