Presentation: Increasing ABLE Account Savings through Employment during COVID-19

ABLE-Webinar-Kathy-DeAngelo

From the ABLE National Resource Center:  "This webinar will review the basic rules for funding an ABLE account from contributions and earned income. Information about ease of access to savings and investments to address COVID-19 expenses will be shared, as well as best practices on integrating ABLE accounts into employment services for customers with disabilities. The webinar will also include how ABLE savings helps people with disabilities to begin and maintain employment and engage in career development to maximize their earnings, use of work supports and savings potential, including savings for retirement."

In this webinar you will hear from our Disability Resource Coordinator (DRC) Kathy DeAngelo!

“The most important thing I tell other service providers who work on employment for people with disabilities, is that here at CDO we tie financial literacy into every aspect of our work. And if you are a person with a disability, we want to talk to you about ABLE accounts and use the resources of the ABLE National Resource Center. We really believe that connecting money to people’s hopes and dreams and goals makes it a reality. You can’t have one without the other.”
