2009 Summer Employment Program
Application Information
Dear Interested Young Person:
We appreciate your time and interest in our summer program. The goal of the Summer Employment Program is to provide a safe and meaningful work experience for young people in quality jobs through which they can develop skills that will benefit them beyond summer. Paid work experiences are available between 7/6/09 – 8/28/09.
In addition to the work experience, CDO Workforce will offer training opportunities in the areas
of:
- Healthcare;
- Basic Construction;
- College Preparatory Skills.
To qualify, you must be the following criteria:
- Be between the ages of 20 and 24;
- Do not make more in one year than the amount in this table. If you are living with your family or any persons related by blood or marriage, you and your family do not make more in one year than the amount in this table:

- And you meet at least one of the following:
- Deficient in basic literacy skills (Reading and Math levels below 9th
- Dropped out of High School before you earned your diploma,
- Are currently homeless, a runaway or a foster child,
- Are pregnant or parenting,
- Have been or are involved with the criminal justice system,
- Require additional assistance to complete an education program and/or
to secure employment
