One Stop Centers

Integral to the CDO Workforce Service System is the One-Stop Career Centers which brings together multiple programs and services in a manner that appears seamless to job seekers and business customers. This system is intended to be accessed through a variety of mechanisms including physical/walk-in service access, electronic linkages, resource rooms, Internet, and other methods. The focus of this system is on meeting the needs of the customer (individuals and business) through the following four principles:

  1. Universal Access: Any individual will have access to the One-Stop system and to core employment services.
  2. Customer Choice: Eligible individuals will be empowered with "training accounts" and the ability to choose training providers who can best meet their specific needs.
  3. Integration of Services: Customers will be able to conveniently access the employment, education, training, and information services they need at a single location.
  4. Performance-Driven System: The One-Stop Center System is based on performance and outcome measures and is accountable for meeting customer needs.

We urge you to visit the Employment Center nearest you. Your local employment center will help you identify your skills, draft resumes and cover letters, find and apply for actual positions, locate information about scholarships and other forms of financial aid, and learn more about education and training programs in our region.
