A job gets you money today. A career gets you money for a lifetime. So start planning your career now.
Keep in mind, what you do now doesn’t have to be what you do 20 years from now. But the skills you build today will determine what you can do – and what you can earn – as you go through life.
And a career doesn’t have to be about making money. Perhaps you’re willing to trade off income to do the tasks you like. Maybe you’re willing to do ugly jobs because they let you live where you want, or help people in some way.
So ask yourself some questions:

- What do you like to do?
- What compromises are you willing to make?
